Greek Island homes

Ink , 7x7 inches
Between The Miles

Because existence can become severe
in one day,
just sense me and I'll be there.
In the minds eye,
I'm not so far away.
If you hold out your hand,
in the whispers,
I'll become the zephyr.
and besiege you.
If your eye's upon the stars,
in the crystalline darkness,
I'll become the moon.
And the light shall guide you.
If you rest upon the ground,
in the warmth,
I'll become the grass.
And embrace you.
If you turn outside,
in the wetness,
I'll become the rain.
An upon your forehead, kiss you.
If you free the air,
in the light of day,
I'll become the sun.
And smile for you.

Between the miles-
if you need me.
If you need a friend.
Let me be the friend, I want to be.

Ten On Tuesday

10 Things You Do Every Day

1. Open the curtains and the window of my bedroom and smell the fresh air.
2. Have a cup coffee with a lot of milk and one sugar in the morning and one in the afternoon.
3. Check my email for the email of my sister and write one to her .
4. Check the weather and read my favorite blogs.
5. Go for a walk or bike ride.
6. Cook something delicious for my husband and I.
7. Read the paper, a book, or a magazine.
8. Try to do some art every day if I can.
9. Keep in contact with my loved ones .
10. Eat dinner with my husband and watch our favorite shows on TV in the evening.

It is the first time that I participate in Carole's Ten On Tuesday. I know that the day to day stuff can be a little boring but I am thankful for being able to do them!

<<Live all you can. It's a mistake not to.
It doesn't much matter what you do in particular,
so much as you LIVE while you're doing it.>>

Red geraniums

"RED GERANIUMS"

Life did not bring me silken gowns,
Nor jewels for my hair,
Nor signs of gabled foreign towns
In distant countries fair,
But I can glimpse, beyond my pane, a green and friendly hill,
And red geraniums aflame upon my window sill. The brambled cares of everyday,
The tiny humdrum things,
May bind my feet when they would stray,
But still my heart has wings
While red geraniums are bloomed against my window glass,
And low above my green-sweet hill the gypsy wind-clouds pass.
And if my dreamings ne'er come true,
The brightest and the best,
But leave me lone my journey through,
I'll set my heart at rest,
And thank God for home-sweet things, a green and friendly hill,
And red geraniums aflame upon my window sill.

Goodbye summer

For Everything There Is a Season

For every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
of peace.

From Ecclesiastes

To everything turn, turn, turn...
